I had the same problem on Vista 64 and Visual Studio installed not in it's default folder, but on D drive.

For me the solution was to copy into C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE the file devenv.exe.config, after that install BIDS. I had to copy any new file that the installer copied to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE into D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE and update the registry also, but seams to work OK.

Good luck!

It sounds great to be possible to connect through the Internet to PPS. However, since remote users usually are connect to local domains, do you think it might be possible to present a login box somehow? Since the Excel Addin does not support authentication prompting, connections over internet might have problems there. Thanks.

For an Intranet solution the cost of MOSS can be prohibitive if there is many users. The ECM functionality of MOSS is essential for Internet and it has reasonable cost because there is no CALs involved. In my view the ideal solution is to use the WSS in conjunction with the Search Server for Intranet solutions and MOSS for Internet.

Pages tagged "msdn"

Pingback from Pages tagged "msdn"
