What we want to be able to do is direct the user to a particular cube on a particular server depending on their username. Here is an example of how we would do this in SSRS (on SQL Central) - www.sqlservercentral.com/.../2945.

As ever any assistance would be much appreciated,

Adding a name for any new object is not straightforward! Part 2 (coming soon) will look at both the issues you mention. Just need to find the time to finish the post!!

There is no functionality within the web service to access the values but you can access the MDX. This is stored in the customdata property of the kpi. You could then write a helper class to go and retrieve the values. I'll try and look at this in one of the next posts

I tried out similar methods for create operation where i am facing difficulties (like not able to give name for a KPI and linking actual/ target to a datasource).

Any pointers on this?

re: PerformancePoint Monitoring Web Service - Part 1

Great Article Tim.

Do you see any chance to use this approach to get/read

the current status/score of a Kpi and his target(s)?

So you can go to the URL www.codeplex.com/bipublisher for even more samples on modifying elements within monitoring webservice.
